Here I was trying to get my house in order, practicing mindful purging of items and had an eye sore of a kitty condo that had seen better years. For sure it had been loved and well used. It was worth the few hundred that was invested many years back but I was always frustrated with the vacuuming of the tower and the carpet pieces that would end up scattered around from it being scratched at. And at this point it was simply tattered to bits and well, ugly… I started to look online for something different, something that would be aesthetically pleasing as well as useful, easy to clean up and comfortable for the kitties. This took a long time actually. I recall my frustration as to how most units that I found were similarly bulky and unappealing to my eye until I found this beautiful kitty condo! The Refined Feline Lotus Cat Tower is just about the nicest looking kitty condo I’ve ever seen! We are 3 years in to having this spiffy unit and could not be happier! It is super good looking, the cats love jumping around on it, laying on it, scratching it and cuddling up in the lower cubby as well as the upper levels. The horizontal Berber carpet pads are easily replaceable, as is the vertical Sisal piece, through the company when needed. To my delight these bits of rug are not shedding and vacuum up really easily! The rug pieces attach via Velcro and the Sisal via screws. I do think we will be needing to replace the vertical Sisal piece first – perhaps in another year or so – but by all means not yet there. It does seem to be the go to piece for the fur babies when not trolling the human furniture! Ours is in the lovely espresso color which goes well in our home. We have slanted ceilings so the images in the collage of the kitties enjoying it may make it appear even larger. The actual dimensions of this unit are listed in the description as: I am a petite female and put this rather large piece of furniture together myself. It comes with everything you need to get it assembled. As a designer, I’m all about putting things together. So if this isn’t your forte then do consider that you may need a hand. It’s a very heavy and sturdy piece. Ours does have a slight wiggle that effects the upper part if you give it a bit of a shake but this is insignificant in my opinion and not falling down by any means. My cats don’t mind the smidgen of a jiggle it gives when jumping around on top of it either. I thought to share it because we get a lot of compliments on this piece and have been really happy with it – humans and cats alike! – Purr Out!
